Candle Care
To get the best experience from your wood wick candle and ensure a safe, even burn, please follow these simple care tips.
Before each burn, gently trim or pinch off any excess char from the top of the wood wick so it is around 3–5mm high. This helps maintain a steady flame and prevents excessive smoking or flickering.
On your first burn, allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the container. This helps prevent tunnelling and ensures an even burn for the life of your candle.
Wood wick candles may take a little longer to light or establish a flame, especially on the first use. If needed, hold a lighter steadily to the wick for a few seconds until it catches. You may gently tilt the jar slightly if required to help the flame establish, being careful to keep the candle stable and secure while doing so.
Burn your candle for no more than 2–3 hours at a time, and always place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, pets, and children. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
If your flame becomes too small or goes out, gently remove a little melted wax from around the wick before relighting.
Stop using your candle when there is approximately 1cm of wax remaining at the bottom of the jar.
